Martyn Joseph Madison Appearance - 4/29/2004

Martyn Joseph has been compared to Bruce Springsteen, Phil Ochs and Mark Knopfler. For the Irish I would say he compares nearest to Luka Bloom. He's labeled as a "Welsh labor/social activist singer" which is a great fit for Madison! He is truly a gifted singer songwriter. While the music and the song are important to him it is very clear that the message or the emotion of the lyrics is of a higher priority. Click here for a review of an outstanding show.

Wolfstone Returns to Milwaukee - 3/26/2004

Wolfstone's appearance at Shank Hall on Friday, March 26, 2004 assured us that they are back and as good as ever. Only two original members are in the band but the five-piece outfit has picked up three other excellent musicians. Click here to read more about this great group.

Karen Casey at Milwaukee's Shank Hall - March, 2004

Karan Casey and her band played Shank Hall in Milwaukee this last Monday. An appreciative crowd of about 75 gathered to hear one of Ireland's great singers. Besides Karan's great voice she has surrounded herself with a very good tight band. Click here for a review of this appearance.

First Annual Nash Bash

On Saturday, January 11, 2003 a group of Nash's Irish Castle loyals put on a great event at O'Donoghue's Pub in Elm Grove. Nash's Irish Castle was the home for all things Irish for many years in Milwaukee and with the passing of Kit & Josie the old gang wanted to get together and have a session and tell a few stories. I counted over 45 musicians there throughout the night and it was the best sessions Milwaukee had seen in a while. Besides being a great event over $400 was raised for the Hunger Task Force, a charity always close to the Nash's heart. Hats off to all those who organized this event!!!
